Pretending to live the good life!

Our friend, Edward, is a pilot for a company that flies private jets - what an exciting life! He was home for a weekend so he took the kids (and friends) to see the jets. They had so much fun pretending they were flying! We even got to sit in the seat that Tim McGraw always sits in...how cool is that. Um, not as cool as if we truly were spending the $8 - $10 GRAND an hour to actually fly! Nonetheless, the kids had a BLAST! Thanks Captain Edward...

Drew starts KINDERGARTEN

Drew started Kindergarten today! He was so excited to see some of his old friends from Pre-K and meet new friends. He keeps telling us he "loves being a Russom Rhino"! When we picked him up from school today he told us that "Kindergarten is FUN" and "he LOVES P.E."! I think we are going to have a great year. We are so proud of you, Drew!

Disney is magical again!

We left for Disney World on Friday, August 7 with all three boys and Nana! It is an eight hour drive from Atlanta - and so worth it! We stayed, once again, at Disney's Wilderness Resort. We love staying here because it reminds us of Montana AND it is only a 10 minute boat ride to the Magic Kingdom!

We conquered FOUR parks in FIVE days! Magic Kingdom (twice!!), Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. It was Tyler's first trip to Disney and his brother's were anxious to show him around and introduce him to Mickey, Minnie, Donald and many more. The first characters that Tyler got to meet were Buzz Lightyear and Woody (from Toy Story) at Hollywood Studios. Tyler ran and gave Woody a huge hug, smiled and posed for pictures...and then Buzz ruined it. Buzz tried to give Tyler a high five - Tyler looked at him and went screaming towards the door. That was it. No more character greetings for Tyler - he wanted NOTHING to do with any of them. Even his beloved Mickey. Oh, well, maybe next year!

We also discovered this trip that Bryan is the BRAVEST lil' 3 year old boy we know! He went on Splash Mountain - twice! It is a ride that plummets over a mountain peak on a 5-story - 50 feet - fall that ends in a massive splashdown! He LOVED it! Drew, on the other hand ,was scared out of his mind and begged Mommy not to go on it. I truly believe he thought I wouldn't come back alive.

Drew was so sad to leave - he cried and told me that "Mickey's House" is his favorite place to visit with his family. I couldn't agree more. Life doesn't get any better than watching magical parades, amazing fireworks over Cinderella's castle and the expressions on Drew, Bryan and Tyler's faces! We love going to Disney World with our kids. It was extra special to have Nana (Alene) with us at Disney - what memories!

Kindergarten Starts Soon

Kindergarten starts on the 17th for Drew! He is ready and excited - I can't say the same! :o) He has his bookbag and most of his supplies ready for the big day. He recently went to his "Kindergarten Test" and did fantastic! We cant' wait to find out who his teachers is.

Braves Games!

The boys love going to the Braves game! We have AWESOME seats...1st row, six seats from the Braves Dugout behind 1st base - it doesn't get better than that! We were sad to see Francouer go - he always "spoiled" the boys with batting gloves and balls. Coach Hubbard always walks over and gives Drew and Bryan bubble gum - they think that is awesome! Bubble gum to a 3 and 5 year old is way better than a baseball. :o) The camera man next to us always puts the boys up on the big screen also - we think that is cool!

Last Saturday, Chad and I took Drew and Tyler to the game (Bryan was at Grandma's). After the game we were stuck in traffic on the interstate ramp, we look over and Martin Prado was next to us. Drew rolled down his window and Prado gave him a huge smile and wave! We love our Braves...

Grandma Camp

This summer Drew and Bryan got to go to "Grandma Camp"! Drew stayed with Grandma (Marie) for a weekend in July and Bryan just got back yesterday from his weekend. They had a blast going to the park, riding bikes, feeding fish, and helping Grandma clean! Why don't they have fun when they help me clean!??! She is going to try to be brave next summer and take all three at the same time!
