Drew's Q and U Wedding!

Drew's school puts on a "Q and U Wedding" for the Kindergarten classes.  It is to help kids realize that Q is always with U.  It is the cutest little wedding I have ever been too!!! 

Drew was honored to be asked to be the "Groom - U"!  So off we went to buy him a suit.  He was so handsome and serious about his "role".  The boys of course wanted to dress up also - so they got new suits too. 

The wedding program had all the kids from Drew's class and their role for the ceremony.  Here is the wording for the rest of the program for you to enjoy:

"After the reception the happy couple will take a quick ride to the airport where they will take a quick flight to a quiet country inn in Quebec.  They will dine on quail and squash.  After some rest and relaxation, they will buy a quilt and present it to the queen."

"Thank you for attending our wonderful, quirky, and quite entertaining wedding!"

It snowed 4 inches!!!!!

When you live in Georgia, and only see snow once a year (if you are lucky) 4 inches is A LOT of snow!! We had so much fun playing in the white stuff. The boys were such troopers...they would stay outside for two hours at a time before they realized they were frozen. We don't have boots, snowpants, or mittens that aren't cotton. They loved making snow angels, sleeding and building a snowman!! The snow lasted only 24 hours before it melted away.

We are due with baby #4 in June!!!

We are due June 25th!! The boys are so excited and so are we. Drew wants another brother because "Beck boys are the best" he says. Bryan wants a sister for two reasons. #1: So that he has someone to play kitties and puppies with. #2: So Mommy has someone to help her clean. (Who is raising this kid?!?!) Tyler loves to kiss mommy's belly and he says "brother" one day "sister" the next. We go in for our 20 week ultrasound the second week of February - and we are NOT going to find out what we are having. We love the surprise! This pregnancy has been 110% different than the other three. I have been sick - smells get me the most. The grocery store, fridge, and the boys "stinkers" and poops send me over the edge! The boys laugh because mommy is always running to the bathroom - it is all for an amazing little peanut!!

Snow in Georgia!!!

It didn't snow much on January 7, but it was enough to make my boys HAPPY! I picked up Drew from school and the snowflakes were so big....so we hurried home to play. The boys and I made little snowballs and threw them at each other. We crossed our fingers that is would snow more during the night, instead it just turned into ice. Boooo! It has been so cold in Georgia, at night it was 15 with windchill it felt like 5! That is cold here...our high for a week or more was only in the low 30's. Dear Mother Nature, if it is going to be that cold atleast bring on the snow and lots of it.

First Hospital (ER) Visit

Drew woke up Christmas morning all excited about his new presents...mostly the Wii that he wanted so badly. We kept noticing that Drew couldn't move his neck very well, he looked stiff. He tried to play Wii, but mostly just layed on the couch and watched his brothers. He told us he didn't feel good and took a little nap. He hardly ate all day and just wasn't himself. That night he went to bed and kept waking up every 20-30 minutes crying and completely out of it. Around 1:00 am we noticed his lymph node on his left side was extremely swollen so off to Scottish Rite Children's hospital. One doctor told us he had a horrible case of strep throat another doctor told us he didn't know what the infection was. Drew was so tired, out of it, and uncomfortable....one of the doctors gave him an ice pop and Drew finally smiled! Drew is now 100%...it took a couple of weeks for whatever infection he had to finally give up. Drew says he would rather go to the hospital than his regular pediatrician because the hospital gives out ice pops instead of stickers!

On a side note, we are so lucky to have an incredible children's hospital in Atlanta - they were amazing. Chad and I feel very blessed to have three healthy children. I can't imagine celebrating Christmas in the Hospital, like so many families had to do. This is the third Christmas that we have donated a red wagon to Scottish Rite in the boy's name - and we will continue to do so. The red wagons are used as wheel chairs for the children that are going into surgery, rehab, ect. It makes life a little better riding in a wagon!

Christmas 2009 was amazing...

The boys (and us) had a great Christmas! We enjoyed dinner on Christmas Eve - ham, potatoes and all the fixin's! We decided that is going to be our new tradition. It was so nice Christmas morning to get up, open gifts and then just play. We didn't have to worry about cooking. Okay, who am I kidding, I didn't have to worry about cooking and cleaning, not we. :o)

The boy's Christmas present to Chad, Grandma Marie, and I was letting us sleep till 7:00 am...it was so nice. They woke us up and we headed downstairs to see if Santa was there. Sure enough, the big man in the red suit had climbed down the chimney and left us presents!

We played with our gifts all day...then around 4pm we headed over to our neighbor's (and very close friends) house and enjoyed a fried turkey dinner! We hope all our friends and family had as great of a Christmas as we did. We love and miss you all!
